Who is Cheryl?
Cheryl
Weir has been coaching individuals and teams in corporations
committed to producing breakthrough results since 1992. Her client list
includes Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, Kimberly-Clark, IBM, AT&T, J&J,
Hershey Foods, Unisys, Sunoco, Temple University Hospital System, DuPont
and smaller companies. Her leadership workshops are designed to coach
the individuals and the teams to create results beyond what these leaders
could imagine before working with Cheryl. She has developed a unique approach
to ensuring sustained performance via a framework of follow-up sessions
to actually hold people accountable to producing the results.
Cheryl Weir and Associates conducts public and customized Master Your Unique Leadership Style workshops for individuals and teams. To ensure the leaders' continued development, the Star Series provides ongoing monthly on-sites or "teleclasses." Rocket Your Results, a non-linear game for sales teams is describe in a FORTUNE magazine article where Cheryl helped the team "blow out the numbers." A Coach Approach trains managers, team leaders and human resource professions in having the "tough conversations" with individuals in their organizations.
Cheryl worked for IBM for 13 years in sales, specializing in business solutions to improve the bottom line. As Finance Industry Consultant for IBM she helped her clients solve business problems with multi-million dollar solutions sold to top executives.
Cheryl is a certified graduate of CoachU (a 3 year coaches training curriculum) and a certified Teleclass Leader on the faculty at CoachU. She served on the board of the Corporate Coaches Committee for the International Coach Federation (ICF), as well Leader of the Internal Coaching Team. She has been a speaker at the Philadelpia Chamber, Healthplex, and various events around Philadelphia and Wilmington.
Cheryl is certified in delivering feedback and coaching around Hay Group's Emotional Competency Inventory(ECI) and TTI's DISC assessment. She has also created a Needs and Values Program that identifies people's top five needs and top five values so that they can see the source of their upsets and orient their lives around their "true" values.
Cheryl is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - 1976, BA Marketing/Economics and is a Hall of Famer for Wisconsin in swimming. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband of 22 years and children, Sawyer(17) and Kristin and Collin (twins, both 15). She is a track coach in the spring and swim coach in the summer, and coaches her children, who she confirms are stars.
